Huey’s Garden

Memphis 3.0

We are creating a sustainable garden

The Huey’s Community Garden is producing food to donate to Church Health while growing much needed pollinators, educational opportunities, and the experience of gardening in Midtown.

Resources

MidtownMemphis.org partnered with Huey’s Midtown to manage the community garden that is just West of the restaurant on the land where Anderton’s once operated. Debbie Sowell agreed to take the lead on coordinating volunteers to work in the garden, and the first clean-up was held on May 6, 2023. Volunteers continue to plant, weed, water, and harvest the produce from the garden which is donated to local food pantries.
